Improving Data Management in Today’s Economy

In the current economy, strategies that can increase efficiency and help to reduce costs are becoming strategic imperatives. Organizations world wide are realizing the importance of improving data management to achieve business results. From this realization, the integrated data management philosophy has been developed by leading organizations to enable them to continue to be successful, even in challenging times such as these. Integrated Data Management (IDM) offers an approach for managing enterprise data from requirements to retirement. This enables organizations and their IT staff to build upon a foundation of shared information, enabling teams to collaborate more effectively to manage data and databases, and optimize the data-driven applications that support business initiatives. The vision for Integrated Data Management is to deliver more than tools and techniques. By adopting a strategic approach, leading organizations have leveraged capabilities that scale across enterprise applications, databases, operating systems and hardware platforms to improve overall performance, reduce costs and mitigate risk. In this session, we will explore this vision and discuss how organizations worldwide are employing employed integrated data management strategies .
